Cultivate Learning Open House Summary

Dr. Gail Joseph and the Cultivate Learning team celebrated a tremendously successful open house on November 30. In addition to rolling out their new name, Dr. Joseph shared a number of new initiatives with partners, funders, and Cultivate Learning family and friends. Former Seattle Mayor Tim Burgess was honored for his advocacy of early childhood education. Learn more about Cultivate Learning's impacts here.

Upcoming Engagement Opportunities

Ideathon Presentations (January 20): Ideathon is an intensive 2-day experience, where undergraduates collaborate with faculty, graduate students, and community stakeholders to answer the question: "How do we meet the educational needs of immigrant & refugee children, youth, and families in our schools and communities?" Ambassadors and community members are cordially invited to join us for the Ideathon final presentations at 6 pm, Saturday, January 20 in the Maple Hall Great Room. Haring Center for Research and Training in Inclusive Education tours: Join us on January 30, 2018 - 9:00 am-10: 30 am at the Haring Center (1981 NE Columbia Rd, Seattle, WA 98195) for a tour! The Haring Center works with local families and children to provide tailored therapeutic and educational support and trains professionals across the state and nation to put inclusive educational practices to work. Please RSVP to Alison Winfield at avw@uw.edu if you are interested in attending a tour.
